If you're buying a house, co-op, condo or other real estate property it is essential to have a thorough home or property inspection done by an experienced NYS licensed home inspector.  A property inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of the major parts ("systems") of the property and is used to inform the property owner or buyer about the safety, conditions and functionality of the property.  The property inspection is an invaluable learning and discovery experience during which your questions can be answered in person or after the inspection.

Your Participation 

The duration of an inspection varies, but typically requires 2 - 4 hours depending on the size and condition of the property. Toward the end of the inspection you are wholeheartedly encouraged to accompany me as I do my final inspection walkthrough This allows us to review the conditions and components needing service along with other maintenance items of importance. After you have walked through and we discuss the property, you will find the inspection report easier to understand.
